Welcome to "Paradise"!! This Carver 440 Aft Cabin represents one of the largest and most accommodating models in Carver's lineup when introduced in the early 1990s. This boat personifies classic 90's motor yacht styling and functionality. These boats are built upon a solid fiberglass hull with a generous 15-foot beam, delivering exceptional interior volume and liveaboard comfort. She boasts a spacious salon with large wraparound windows for abundant natural light, two private double staterooms, two heads (both with separate stall showers), and a convertible U-shaped dinette, allowing her to sleep up to eight adults comfortably.
The lower helm enhances all-weather usability, while the galley features a full-size refrigerator/freezer, double sink, 3-burner Princess stove, microwave, convection oven, and additional conveniences like a coffee maker, washer/dryer (Gibson Spacemaster), and water heater. The salon includes rich teak paneling, a large sofa, barrel chair, and a new smart TV, creating a bright, open living space. Aft, the master stateroom offers a centerline island queen berth with a premium mattress (updated 2023), hanging lockers, rich teak accents, and a private ensuite head with stall shower. Forward, the guest stateroom features an angled double berth, hanging locker, and private access to the day head with stall shower.
The semi-enclosed aft deck is a standout, complete with wing doors, deck furniture, a full wet bar, beverage fridge, icemaker, and shining condition. Perfect for entertaining or relaxed cruising. Standard features include a salon entertainment center, foredeck sun lounge, radar arch, and integrated swim platform (with stairs and stainless steel St. Croix rotating davits). The boat is equipped for extended voyages with a fuel polishing system, fuel transfer and oil change systems, triple filtration drinking water system, and Starlink satellite connectivity for modern offshore living.
Powered by twin Caterpillar 3116TA diesels, she cruises efficiently at 18-20 knots, with a Glendinning synchronizer, Racor fuel filters, and Halon automatic fire suppression. The 9kW Kohler generator supports onboard systems, complemented by a 2,000W Heart inverter/charger, multiple battery chargers, and 400W solar panels (4 x 100W, installed 2023) with controller. Three Cruisair 16,000 BTU reverse-cycle AC units ensure year-round comfort, along with Bennett trim tabs and spare props.
This exceptionally well-maintained and continually upgraded vessel was previously owned by an AGLCA couple who successfully completed the Great Loop aboard her. Purchased in late 2024 by her current AGLCA-member owners who have regrettably had to postpone their own plans. "Paradise" benefits from recent enhancements which include:
