From Powerboat Guide:
A hugely popular boat, the Jupiter 31 has ranked among the best boats in her class for many years. She was available in three configurations: open fisherman (pictured), cuddy cabin, and the popular forward seating model introduced in 2003. Originally a semi-custom boat, the 31 is built on a high-performance deep-V hull with moderate beam, cored hullsides, and a solid fiberglass bottom. No wood is used in the construction, and the bottom has a keel pad from the stern forward for extra lift. The outboard bracket was beefed up in 2003 to handle today?s high-horsepower 4-stroke engines.
Standard features include:
- transom rigging station with sink
- transom livewell
- lockable rod storage
- fresh/raw-water washdowns
- roomy walk-in console with marine head and sink/shower
- in-deck fish boxes
- leaning post with rod holders
- in-deck dry storage
- cockpit bolsters
- anchor locker
- trim tabs.
Tons of factory options were available. Note the Jupiter's oversized console and spacious helm area. An iconic boat, over 1,000 Jupiter 31s are said to have been built during her production years. Mercury 275hp Verados deliver a top speed in the range of 45 knots.
