Construction
- Designed by Hugh Wilde and Kevin Mathis of Beaufort, NC
- Built by B & B Yacht Designs, this is hull #1 of what is now called the 28 Cape Lookout hull
- Bottom, Stringers and Transom are made of Okume Marine Plywood, with layers of 1708 fiberglass cloth inside and out
- Hullsides are Red Cedar strip planked she features a Big Sheer with reverse chines, eliminating the need for spray rails, layers of 1708 cloth were laid 90 degrees to the strip planks. She was faired very well and looks great in new Silver Paint.
- Lower guards at the rear of the hull sides protect her "tumblehome"
- Stainless steel rub railing at deck joint, Broken hull sheer and lower guards
