Petrel is a 1988 Cascade 42 "Highside" 42 cruising cutter that was finally launched in 2010. Acquired in 2012 by an experienced sailor and mechanical engineer, this boat has seen continuous upgrades and refinements. The "Highside" model added an additional 12" of freeboard that increased interior volume, stowage and living space. Special features include:

1) Long fin keel and full skeg rudder for sailing performance and improved maneuverability in close quarters

2) Hard dodger and Iverson full cockpit enclosure for year round cruising comfort

3) Cutter rigged. New furling headsails, mainsail and running rigging 2019 - 2024

4) Updated electrical panels, heavy DC wiring & AGM batteries

5) Open interior configuration and beautiful custom teak interior cabinetry

6) Reliable Perkins 4-108 diesel and Borg Warner transmission with 840 hours

7) Hydronic cabin heat, Force Ten propane stove with oven and broiler, top loading frig & freezer, installed dehumidifier

8) Fresh water flush sanitation system

9) Large capacity water and fuel tanks (160 ea) for extended cruising

10) Raymarine speed/depth in 2022, Furuno plotter/radar aboard and partially installed
