Interior Accommodations
The Hanse 411's interior reflects the clean, contemporary European styling that helped establish Hanse as one of the most successful production builders of the early 2000s. Finished in the Herreshoff style with white bulkheads and gloss varnish mahogany joinery with easily maintained faux teak and holly cabin soles, the salon is bright, inviting, and exceptionally spacious for a yacht of this size.
Descending the companionway, the large main salon opens with generous headroom and abundant natural light provided by numerous overhead hatches and opening portlights. A substantial U-shaped settee surrounds a centerline dining table to starboard and two seats with a nav desk at the center provide additional seating. Storage is thoughtfully integrated throughout with lockers, shelving, and cabinetry designed for extended cruising.
Aft to starboard, the L-shaped galley is secure at sea and well-equipped with separate top loading refrigeration and freezer boxes, double stainless-steel sinks, a gimbaled stove and oven, and extensive storage for provisions and cookware.
The head is opposite the galley to port - a large compartment with integral shower.
Forward, the owner's stateroom features large V-berth , hanging lockers, shelving, and abundant storage. There is a desk/vanity aft. Natural light and ventilation create an airy atmosphere uncommon in many yachts of this size.
Aft to port, the spacious guest cabin offers a large double berth, hanging locker, and excellent storage, making it suitable for extended cruising or liveaboard use.
To starboard aft of the galley, there is interior access to another "quarter" cabin that may be used for storage or a additional bunk space. This compartment may also be accessed via the cockpit.

Deck and Hull
Designed by Judel/Vrolijk & Co., the Hanse 411 combines modern performance with straightforward short-handed sailing. Her sleek profile features a fine entry, broad stern sections and a powerful fractional rig, delivering the responsive sailing characteristics that made the model one of Hanse's most successful designs.
The hull is constructed using hand-laid fiberglass with balsa core in the hull and deck to reduce weight while maintaining strength and rigidity. A substantial structural grid is bonded directly to the hull, distributing keel and rigging loads throughout the vessel and contributing to the yacht's solid feel underway. A deep fin keel and balanced spade rudder provide excellent tracking, responsiveness, and upwind performance.
On deck, the Hanse 411 was conceived with ease of handling as a primary design objective. Wide side decks, strategically placed handholds, and a clean deck layout allow safe movement forward whether underway or at anchor. The large self-tacking jib eliminates the need for sheet handling during tacks, making the boat particularly attractive to couples and short-handed crews.
All primary sail controls are led aft to the cockpit, allowing hoisting, reefing, and trimming operations to be performed from the safety of the helm area. The spacious T-shaped cockpit offers excellent seating for both sailing and entertaining, while the folding cockpit table creates a comfortable gathering space in port. Teak cockpit seating adds warmth and secure footing under sail.
A walk-through transom provides convenient access to the integrated swim platform, making boarding from a dinghy or enjoying a swim at anchor effortless. Large cockpit lockers offer generous storage for cruising gear, dock lines, and fenders. Overhead, numerous flush-mounted hatches and opening ports provide exceptional natural light and ventilation below while maintaining the yacht's clean, contemporary appearance.
