Design
Many years of experience are embodied in the CR 34's design and construction. Each Cabo Rico 34 is hand-crafted, beginning with a heavily built hull using top quality resins. This is a solid hull built in one piece. Between each hand sanded layer of 1 1-2-ounce mat or 24-ounce roving, the huge mold must be rolled from one side to the other to apply the next layer. The insulated hull and one-piece deck are sealed with 3M 5200 bonding compound and then bolted together to form an amazingly strong hull-to-deck joint. The molded-in bulwark gives safe footing while adding strength and watertight integrity at the hull-to-deck joint. A molded-in rub-rail with sacrificial strip, provides extra protection topside. All bolts are accessible from below, as are those for the chain plates and stanchion bases. The interior consists of real wood; doors, cabinets, cabin sole, lovingly crafted and hand-rubbed to a warm lustrous finish. Cabo Rico yachts are designed to be balanced and track well, to be sea kindly and seaworthy. However, Cabo Rico adds its own massive fiberglass and aluminum structure to transmit the load directly to the keel, while keeping the bottom of the mast and its wiring, a few inches out of the bilge and any possible contact with moisture. Structural integrity is essential to producing a true ocean-going yacht there are no short cuts.
Interior accommodations
The roomy interior is designed for comfortable long-distance cruising or weekend getaways. Entering through the companionway; one steps down into the u-shaped galley, with the aft cabin doorway to starboard. The aft cabin has a large quarter berth, a hanging locker, and storage outboard of the berth and a GE microwave oven. The navigation station features AC/DC circuit panels, navigation displays/controls and a large hinged chart table. The open salon has facing settees. A large, bulkhead-mounted folding table is center of the salon that opens up the floor space when not in use. Hand holds are throughout the interior space. All the sole access boards are easily removed for bilge access. To port the U-shaped settee converts into a sea-berth. There is storage beneath and outboard of both settees.

Deck layout
O MYKISS carries an over-sized, standing rig and includes adjustable intermediate stays in addition to the two upper and four lower shrouds. A new 2026 heavy-duty Iverson cockpit dodger with removable side panels provides full cockpit enclosure and shelter for the cock pit. Safe non-skid wide side decks with well-placed stainless-steel hand rails and raised bulwarks with a teak cap rail provide safety for working on deck. This yacht started life with the highest quality hardware and rigging available at the time. The easy-to-handle cutter rig gives you superb sailing performance in any weather. It is a simple matter with a cutter, to reduce sail area in high winds by furling your foresail to continue under staysail and main. This moves the center of effort inboard, leaving the vessel with better balance and control. Primary winches are Barient 27- 48 self-tailing with a slow and fast speed. For handling halyards is a 12vdc power Harken 40 on starboard cabin-top. A sturdy proven Harken furler is at the stem for the primary 135% genoa. The staysail also has a Harken furler. 2 LPG lockers located under port and starboard aft cockpit seats. Lockers latched tightly, and properly vented overboard. A pivoting radar mount was located on the backstay for the Raymarine Quantum 2 doppler radar. 2 LPG tank lockers are located under port and starboard aft cockpit seats, properly vented overboard.
