Gas locker aft to port. Liferaft stowage to aft of cockpit under teak slatted helm seat. Steering wheel console. GRP footholds. Steering compass on console. Navigation electronics (see specifications below). Self-draining cockpit.
Galley
Laminated work surface with moulded wood fiddle also serving as handrail. Stainless steel double sink. Mixer tap with hot and cold pressurised water. Stowage under sink. Cutlery drawer. Wastebin. 12V (90L) refrigeration unit insulated with injected polyurethane foam, with storage baskets. Gimballed stainless steel 2-burner marine stove and stainless steel safety rail also serving as handrail. Stowage lockers for utensils, crockery and food.
Hull & Deck
The hull is single-skinned laminated GRP. A structural inner moulding with unidirectional fabric is bonded and laminated to the hull. Its structural role is important as it takes and absorbs the stresses at pressure points (chain plate tie rods, keel, rudder etc.) and spreads any loads, guaranteeing reduced strain on the hull. The surface to the inner hull makes cleaning easier and provides a better finish.
The deck is balsa sandwich construction (glass fibre, balsa, polyester resin) for an enhanced strength/weight ratio and for good thermal and sound insulation. A roughened non-slip surface increases safety over all areas of movement on deck. An inner deck moulding is sealed to the deck to round off the finish.

Pros
Performance-Oriented Design: The First 36.7 is renowned for its excellent sailing performance. Its balanced hull shape and responsive keel make it a favorite among sailors who enjoy racing as well as cruising.
Spacious Interior: The interior layout is designed to maximize space while providing comfort. With a well-equipped galley and generous living areas, it is suitable for both short trips and longer voyages.
Ease of Handling: The boat is equipped with a manageable sail plan, which makes it accessible for both experienced sailors and those newer to the sport. Features like a self-tacking jib option can enhance ease of operation.
Construction Quality: Constructed with high-quality materials, the First 36.7 is known for its durability and robust design. This contributes to longevity and a solid resale value.
Versatile Usage: Whether you prefer day sailing, racing, or family cruising, the First 36.7 adapts well to various sailing styles and conditions.
Community and Support: As a popular model, there is a substantial community of First 36.7 owners, which means finding information, resources, and support is generally easier.
Cons
Limited Storage: While the interior is spacious, some owners note that storage options can be limited for longer trips, especially for gear and provisions.
Performance vs. Comfort: The emphasis on performance can make the ride slightly stiffer in choppy waters, leading to a less comfortable experience when compared to more cruising-oriented designs.
Age Considerations: Being a 2005 model, prospective buyers should carefully consider the boat’s condition and maintenance history, as well as the potential need for updates or repairs due to age-related wear.
Draft Depth: With a draft that can limit access to shallow areas, the First 36.7 may not be ideal for those who like to sail in very shallow waters or anchor in coves with little depth.
Maintenance Needs: Like any sailboat, the First 36.7 requires regular maintenance, and for those unfamiliar with boat upkeep, this can be daunting and time-consuming.
Pricing: While it retains a good resale value, the initial purchase price can be a consideration for first-time buyers, especially when compared to other boats in similar categories.
