Jeanneau builds the 379 with a solid laminate hull and a structural grid that carries keel and rig loads into the lower hull, so the boat stays stiff and quiet when the breeze fills in.

Cockpit

The cockpit of Polaris is designed for comfort and functionality, featuring wood inlay on the bench seating and a teak cockpit floor. There are plenty of storage options, including a locker under the bench seat, a large lazarette under the port helm, and a dedicated compartment for the liferaft between the helm seats.

A fold down swim platform with a telescopic swim ladder provides easy water access, and the cockpit table adds to the usability. The helm station is well appointed with two leather covered steering wheels, compasses, stainless steel grab rails, and engine controls at the starboard helm. The custom dodger, bimini and connector cover the whole station, and the bimini was cleaned and repaired this season with the isinglass replaced.

The climate control system includes a 16,000 BTU reverse cycle air conditioning and heat unit installed under the saloon seating, with vents in the saloon, forward cabin, and aft cabin. That keeps the interior comfortable in August and extends the season into November.
