This rare and classic Sweden 34 has had three serious sailor owners and has been maintained with the help of an open checkbook and the knowledgeable care of the Jamestown Boat Yard. The current owner is moving up. A 2009 overhaul included new paint (the current Sweden Yachts topside design), new upholstery (including a tempurpedic mattress in the aft cabin), a new windlass, and refinished teak decks. A new rudder in 2012 was built from the current Sweden Yachts design and is slightly larger than the original rudder which improves boat handling in more adverse sea states and wind conditions. Other key features include:
- 2003 Yanmar Engine with Sail Drive
- 2007 Awlgrip
- 2007 Refinished teak decks - Over $14,000 in improvements
- 2011 UK/Halsey Sails
Sweden Yachts are in high demand in Europe, and a strong Euro during the past 20 years brought most Swedens back to Europe. Complete with high-end racing sails that hold shape perfectly, a protected cockpit, wide decks, an anchor rode that does not need a windlass but has one, plus a perfectly balanced helm that makes sailing what it should be. PHRF rating of 126
