Summary
"Vixen", is a 1980 Nonsuch 30 Classic. Ease of handling and roomy interior have made the 30 a popular coastal cruiser. Vixen has a brand new (2017) Beta 3 diesel engine with only 157 hours, The single, unstayed mainsail with lazy jacks allows for easy handling, whether you're sailing solo or with a small crew. Her stanchions have been relocated to the top of the toe rail, reducing the potential for deck leaks and increasing usable deck space. Both the hull and deck have been AWL-gripped. The dodger and bimini canvas have been replaced with hard plastic versions for practicality and reduced maintenance.

Cons

Limited Performance Under Heavy Winds: While the Nonsuch excels in lighter winds, its broader hull can make it less responsive in heavy weather compared to more traditional performance-oriented sailboats.

Unique Handling Characteristics: The unique design may require some adjustment for sailors accustomed to traditional sailing craft, potentially leading to a learning curve.

Traditionally Limited Options: The design aesthetic and features may not appeal to everyone, as preferences in boating can be quite subjective.

Less Storage Space for Gear: While the interior is spacious, dedicated storage for larger gear may be limited, requiring creative solutions for stowing equipment.

Age-Related Wear: Being a vintage model, boats from 1980 may require attention to wear and tear, necessitating diligence in maintenance and potential upgrades.

Resale Market: The niche appeal of the Nonsuch Classic may impact resale value, as it may not attract a wide range of buyers compared to more mainstream models.
