Its remarkable that a 1974 ketch can be in this tremendous condition.
Being a Pearson 419 ketch with its solid hull and center cockpit; it's no surprise that the designed delivers a secure and roomy cockpit, a well appointed spacious salon, a nicely laid out galley and two comfortable state rooms with adjoining heads. What will astonish you is that the upgrades and conditions of this boat would give any vessel 30 years younger a run for its money.
Upgrades and features (the short list):
- Total hull stripped and re- gel coated 2008 - It looks new
- all lifelines upgrade and stanchions rebedded 2008
- Sails upgraded in 2008 - Main, mizzen and 130% Genoa
- 5 new batteries 2014
- All rigging upgraded 2010
- Perkin 50hp engine - 60 hrs, installed 2010
- Westerbeke Genset - 8 Kw - 20 Hrs

Brokers Notes:
Approaching "Salubrious", this Pearson 419 Ketch, I was taken back. Being of a 1974 vintage, I excepting to see a haggard, aged vessel. That was not the case, the hull is in great shape, the deck is solid, the life line are new and the stanchions are solid. The rigging is in top notch shape and the cockpit with its new cushions looked inviting. But what really surprised me was the interior, LED lighting, new counter tops, an Isotherm Refrigerator/Freezer. The owner is a skilled professional woodworker and it shows throughout the boat. Then to top it off a virtually new 8 Kw genset and 50 hp Perkins engine. If you are looking for a live aboard or a comfortable affordable coastal sailor you must see this boat.
