Other Hinckley Yachts boats for sale in Florida, United States
Nirvana is a 1973 Hinckley 49 (Hull #008) that had a custom extension done to the stern in 1985 at the Hinckley Yard in SW Harbor.. The extension increased the waterline thus giving her more speed and stability. With the extended waterline the rig was also changed from its original ketch rig to a cutter rig with a taller mast (63.5') and longer boom thus increasing the sail area to 1123 square feet.
The interior of the boat has remained just as Henry Hinckley designed her.
I had the pleasure of captaining a H-49 for a number of years and can viualize the hull extension with the taller rig definately adding to the boats's performance.
