A true work of art, "Passing Wind" was designed and commissioned by Vic Carpenter for his own racing and cruising pleasure. Sailed on Lake Huron following her launch in 1992, Carpenter enjoyed the boat until 1999 when he was no longer able to use her.
Her recent accomplishments include winning the 2022 Classic Yacht Challenge Series in New England. This series included events such as the Camden Classics Cup, Eggemogin Reach, and Newport Classic Yacht Regatta.
This beautiful boat sat in a boatyard in Newport, Rhode Island after Carpenter's decline in health. She was stored on the hard, wrapped up safe and sound like a time capsule until a Newport local discovered her and fell in love. The boat was then brought up to speed with up to date equipment, going on to win her class in the 2006 Newport to Bermuda Race.
Passing Wind" is a distinctive boat looking to continue her intriguing story with a new owner.Ã?Â
