Unique OPPORTUNITY and good value.
Robert Ladd custom designed MotorSailer built in 1989 to Lloyd's Yacht and Ship Standards in South Africa. Vessel had a significant 2007 refit in the US and was sailed throughout the Mediterranean for several years, then cruising the Caribbean and coastal US. For the last eleven years however this boat has been in shipyard storage.
Qualified and ambitious renovations are in process. Skilled welders have improved bottom, replaced panels, bilges cleaned and painted. Portside hull is painted, starboard is prepped and primed- remaining paint is available. Electrical service being addressed and updated. Current owner vigorously tackled many major repair issues. Original teak decks removed and a fiberglass skin covers steel decks. Winches and hydraulic lines being addressed. Headliners down for access. New pilothouse windows are stored in crates. Twin 210 HP Cummins BT59M engines were installed in 2000 and have been run recently. Two Northern Lights gen sets, 25 KW M864W.3 and a 16 KW M844W2.3 both were run recently. Sails in good order. Bring some imagination and energy. Interesting opportunity for the right person to complete.
