She was trucked to St Pete and repaired to like new condition under the supervision of Chad Shakespear at Embree Marine. There was no structural damage to the hull. The repair required glass work, stanchion replacement, bow roller, new mast, rigging, and sails. Due to the lack of availability of slip space within a reasonable drive from their home in Dothan, Alabama the owners have decided to sell her. She still has the new boat smell! The Catalina 425 was awarded SAIL Magazine's Best Boat Award in the Best Monohull Cruising Boat 40 to 50ft category as well as Cruising World Magazine's Domestic Boat of the Year.
