Other Beneteau boats for sale in Florida, United States
This Beneteau Idylle 1550, "White Diamond" has been in the same family for many years. Current owners are the second to own the boat. She is a blue water veteran, having cruised the Great Lakes, the North and South Atlantic, and the Caribbean. She has always been well maintained and is ready, for health reasons, for new owners.
This Beneteau 51 has a raked bow, classic sheer, and flat stern. It is odd to see a Beneteau without a swim platform, but the custom made stern pulpit/radar arch with dinghy davits makes up for all in the way she presents her stern. Her toerail is the perforated aluminum and the trunk cabin is low and racy with the well aft cockpit. Underneath she has a deep, 6ââ¬â¢ fin keel and spade rudder. The propeller is half way between the rudder and keel. She looks sexy underway with her sharp, low cutting profile. The 51 Idylle is a German Frers designed boat, and Frers always pens fast yachts.
This Beneteau was built in France, the American built boats were noted for keel bolt issues, not this one. The deck has a 2-inch balsa core. According to the owner, the hull is 1.5 inches thick at the waterline and goes to 3 inches below the waterline illustrating the heavy construction. The keel is external. The builders used multiple molded liners to stiffen the hull stringers. Fuel tankage is stainless steel. Almost all of the Beneteau Idylle 51's were sold on a purchase and charter basis by Moorings. She is a family cruiser, through and through. Minimal charter use in it's first year. Plenty of storage space throughout and a very user friendly galley
