1993 Tollycraft 57 Widebody Pilothouse Motor Yacht - REALITY

Please contact our Seattle - Lake Union office for further details.

A proven Pacific Northwest cruising yacht with exceptional interior volume, a three-stateroom layout, stabilized twin-diesel power, multiple helm stations, an impressive enclosed flybridge with custom hardtop, and an extensive mechanical and systems refit completed from 2025 through 2026.

REALITY is a 1993 Tollycraft 57 Widebody Pilothouse Motor Yacht that showcases exactly why these American-built cruising yachts continue to have such a loyal following.

With a nearly 17-foot beam, full-width salon, raised pilothouse, three private staterooms, two heads, expansive flybridge and an unusually large cockpit, REALITY offers the interior and exterior living space normally associated with a considerably larger yacht.

Just as importantly, this is not simply an older yacht with attractive accommodations. The current ownership has invested extensively in her mechanical systems, cooling systems, navigation equipment, electrical systems, steering, stabilizers, plumbing, safety equipment and cruising gear during a significant 2025-2026 refit.

Powered by twin MTU 8VT93 diesel engines with 4,832 hours on the port engine and 4,849 hours on the starboard engine, REALITY is equipped with Naiad stabilizers, a Wesmar bow thruster, dual generators and four separate engine-control stations. She was designed as a serious cruising yacht and remains exceptionally well suited for extended Pacific Northwest, Alaska, California or coastal cruising.

The result is a yacht where substantial attention has already been directed toward the expensive systems that matter most to an experienced cruising owner, including the main-engine cooling systems, steering, stabilizers, fuel filtration, electrical systems and underwater hardware.

Salon

Enter through the aft sliding door from the cockpit and the first impression is simply how much interior volume the widebody configuration creates.

The full-beam salon is open, bright and remarkably spacious for a 57-foot yacht. Large windows surround the living area on three sides, providing excellent natural light and visibility.

A large curved settee creates a comfortable social area with additional occasional chairs and a central coffee table. Extensive built-in cabinetry runs along the starboard side, providing excellent storage without encroaching on the living space.

The light whitewashed-ash interior, warm wood trim and teak-and-holly-style flooring give the yacht a bright, contemporary feel while retaining the traditional character expected from a Tollycraft.

The salon also includes entertainment equipment, climate control and substantial storage for extended cruising or liveaboard use.

Raised Pilothouse & Lower Helm

A few steps forward bring you into one of REALITY's defining spaces: the raised pilothouse.

Large forward and side windows provide outstanding visibility, while the substantial U-shaped dinette immediately adjacent to the helm creates an ideal gathering place while underway.

The pilothouse arrangement allows the helmsman to remain part of the conversation rather than being isolated from guests.

Navigation and operating equipment includes updated Simrad electronics, autopilot, AIS, VHF, engine instrumentation, electronic engine controls, bow-thruster control and the yacht's supporting navigation systems.

Direct deck access from the pilothouse makes line handling and docking considerably easier, while stairs lead directly to the flybridge.

Galley

The galley is located on the pilothouse level and is designed much more like a residential kitchen than the compact galley typically found aboard a yacht of this era.

The U-shaped arrangement offers excellent countertop and preparation space together with extensive cabinetry and storage.

Equipment includes:

• Full-size refrigerator/freezer

• Full-size electric oven

• Glass cooktop

• Microwave

• Dishwasher

• Double stainless-steel sink

• Trash compactor

• Garbage disposal

• Instant hot water

Its open relationship with the pilothouse and salon makes this an exceptionally practical layout for entertaining or extended cruising.

Three-Stateroom Accommodations

REALITY provides three private staterooms and two heads.

Full-Beam Master

The amidships master is unusually spacious and benefits significantly from the yacht's 16'11" beam.

A walk-around queen berth is surrounded by extensive drawer and locker storage, with additional cabinetry, a vanity and excellent headroom.

The private ensuite head includes a separate stall shower and updated sanitation components.

Forward VIP

The forward VIP features an island double berth with storage and hanging lockers.

The VIP also has direct access to the guest head, creating a comfortable private arrangement for another couple aboard.

Guest Stateroom

A third stateroom to port provides upper and lower berths along with hanging and storage space, making it ideal for children, additional guests or crew.

A stacked washer and dryer is conveniently located in the accommodation passageway.

Flybridge & Custom Hardtop

The flybridge is one of REALITY's standout features and another area where she feels considerably larger than her stated length.

A substantial custom hardtop covers the upper helm and seating area, while the surrounding polycarbonate enclosure provides excellent protection from wind, spray and weather. This dramatically extends the usefulness of the bridge beyond fair-weather cruising and creates an upper helm that can be enjoyed through a much broader range of conditions.

For Pacific Northwest or Alaska cruising in particular, this is a major advantage. Instead of treating the flybridge as a seasonal space, the hardtop and enclosure make it a genuinely functional second pilothouse and entertaining area.

The bridge itself provides excellent visibility with helm and companion chairs, a large L-shaped seating area, table, additional lounging space and a dedicated wet-bar/storage cabinet with stainless-steel sink.

Updated navigation equipment includes Garmin and Simrad chartplotter/radar displays, VHF, AIS and autopilot.

REALITY also features an additional port-side wing docking station with electronic engine controls and bow-thruster control.

Aft of the primary seating area is the boat deck with tender storage and a Nick Jackson low-profile davit, while separate access leads directly down to the cockpit.

Cockpit

The approximately 125-square-foot cockpit is one of the most versatile spaces aboard.

There is enough room for outdoor entertaining, fishing, diving, water-toy access or simply relaxing at anchor.

For owners interested in fishing, the yacht is already exceptionally well equipped with:

• Large transom bait tank

• Built-in tackle storage

• Below-deck fish/storage boxes

• Full-size freezer

• Rod holders

• Rocket launchers

• Outriggers

• Freshwater washdown

• Cockpit engine and bow-thruster controls

A transom door provides convenient access to the swim platform, while direct access into the engine room allows machinery checks without disturbing the interior of the yacht.

Engine Room & Mechanical Systems

For an owner who understands boats, the machinery space deserves particular attention.

Engine-room access is excellent, with a centerline working passage between the twin MTU 8VT93 diesel engines and good access to supporting systems.

The yacht is equipped with:

• Twin MTU 8VT93 diesel engines

• Port engine: 4,832 hours

• Starboard engine: 4,849 hours

• Twin Onan generators

• Naiad stabilizers

• Wesmar 24V bow thruster

• Hydraulic steering

• Electronic engine/transmission controls

• Four operating/control stations

• Dual Racor fuel-filtration systems

• Oil-change system

• Reverse-cycle air conditioning and heat

• Engine-room fire-suppression system

• Engine-room gauge package

• Freshwater and saltwater washdowns

Recent servicing of the plate coolers, heat exchangers and transmission-cooling systems is particularly noteworthy, as this work addresses critical components of the propulsion package that can be costly and time-consuming to service on a yacht of this size.

The extensive recent mechanical work performed throughout this compartment further separates REALITY from many yachts of similar age.

Ground Tackle & Cruising Equipment

Cruising equipment includes a Maxwell 3500 windlass, new 88-pound Rocna galvanized anchor with 200 feet of high-tensile chain, watermaker, substantial freshwater capacity, swim platform, tender davit and inflatable tender.

Starlink has also been installed, providing modern internet connectivity for extended stays aboard.

A Serious Cruising Yacht

There is a reason Tollycraft yachts remain so well regarded throughout the Pacific Northwest.

They were designed around real cruising: substantial construction, excellent visibility, practical machinery access, comfortable accommodations and layouts intended to work equally well underway, at anchor or at the dock.

REALITY takes those fundamentals and combines them with an unusually spacious widebody configuration, three-stateroom accommodations, a huge cockpit, an exceptional enclosed flybridge with custom hardtop, stabilized twin MTU 8VT93 diesel power and a considerable list of recent mechanical and systems upgrades.

For a buyer looking for the volume and capability of a considerably larger cruising yacht without stepping into the operating requirements of a 65- or 70-footer, REALITY deserves serious consideration.
