Pros

Solid Construction: Built with quality craftsmanship, the Freedom 36 features a sturdy fiberglass hull and well-laid teak interiors, ensuring durability and a comfortable living space.

Sail Plan: The cat-rigged free-standing mast simplifies sail handling, making it easier for short-handed crews to manage.

Good Performance: Known for steady and balanced sailing characteristics, the Freedom 36 performs well both in coastal cruising and offshore passages.

Ease of Maintenance: The absence of standing rigging reduces maintenance demands and the risk of rigging failure.

Cons

Older Design: Being a 1987 model, some aspects of the design and onboard systems may feel dated compared to more modern sailboats.

Limited Downwind Sail Options: The cat rig limits the use of certain downwind sails, which may affect performance in some sailing conditions.

Weight and Draft: The boat's displacement and draft might restrict access to shallower waters and could impact maneuverability in tight spaces.

Interior Layout: While spacious, the interior layout reflects design trends of the 1980s and may not suit all modern preferences for cabin arrangement or storage.
