This is a project boat.
Purchased in 1986 and completed in 1998. This Bruce Roberts designed yawl was bought as a kit which consisted of the Perkins diesel and the fiberglass hull. A father and son spent 12 years fitting it out. They sailed her to Guatemala and around Mexico, brought her back to Punta Gorda,Ã? where the boat was dismasted in Hurricane Charlie.Ã?Â
There are various parts and pieces which were salvaged and stored. This includes the main mast and boom, roller furling, sheets and lines, fittings / fasteners and an Achilles inflatable.
There is nothing at all pretty about this boat, but the bones are there. A handy sailor with the right tools and vision can bring Nelson's Blood back to it's former state.Ã?Â
