Overview
VOYANTE is a beautifully restored classic Philip Rhodes-designed sloop which has gone through a meticulous restoration by her current owner, a marine professional. Beginning in 1985, all major systems were overhauled or replaced, including a new Diesel engine; electrical systems, including shore power; plumbing, including addition of a 6 gal. pressurized hot water tank; and Awlgripped hull and mast (the hull was awlgripped again in 1996). The exterior varnish work is excellent and the interior is custom.
Accommodations
VOYANTE has accomodations for up to five. The V berth forward has been nicely renovated with ash ceilings and other refinements. Next aft is the head to port with fully updated plumbing, including a H/C pressurized shower and classic pullman sink, and hanging locker to starboard. The main salon has a single settee/berth to starboard, and a pullout single and pilot berth to port. Standing headroom is approximately 6' 4". The custom teak joinery work, accents, and ash ceilings greatly enhance the classic restoration and warmth of the interior. A fold away drop leaf teak table and kerosene force 10 cabin heater are also featured.
Galley
The Galley runs athwartships aft of the main salon, and features a stainless steel sink with pressurized hot & cold water, a two-burner Kenyon alcohol stove, and deep ice box. A custom fold down step improves the functionality of the space and enhances the quality and interest of the owner's restoration.
