Accomodations

Designed by Joseph Artese to be open, contemporary, and versatile, the Pacific Seacraft 31 interior offers more living space and storage space than most any ocean passage maker of her size.  Moving through the companionway and down the entry steps into the cabin immediately to port is an "L" shaped galley.  Aft of galley lies a large double berth with ample room for two adults.  Opposite the galley to starboard is a full wet head with.  Starboard and forward of the head is the nav station/chart table.  The chart table is hinged and opens up providing top loading access to the 12V refer box.  Forward of the galley and nav station are two long settees port and starboard that convert to single berths when needed.  The V-berth is elevated, sleeps two adults, and has drawers and extra storage area beneath the berth.  A unique feature that enhances the 31's open interior layout is the retractable salon table. When not in use the table slides and locks under the V-berth. Being on tracked slides, the table is easily deployed and locks into the stainless-steel compression post between the salon settees.  The cabin area and head are heated by a Webasto AirTop 2000 forced air diesel heating system.  Both the galley and head have hot and cold pressure water systems supported by and AC hot water heater and 12V water pump.

Cons

Size Limitations: At 31 feet, the Pacific Seacraft may be too small for some sailors looking for more spacious accommodations or those intending to cruise with larger crews.

Older Model: Being a 1988 model, finding replacement parts or certain upgrades can be challenging. Some may require sourcing vintage components, which could be time-consuming.

Performance Under Motor: While the sailing performance is notable, the motor performance may not be as robust, particularly in heavy seas or when maneuvering in tight spots.

Weight: The solid build contributes to a heavier displacement, which can affect the speed under motor power. This trait may also limit her agility in light winds.

Trimming and Maintenance: Older vessels may require more frequent maintenance, especially for systems that could have aged over time such as rigging, electrical systems, and through-hull fittings.
