A Charley Morgan designed Morgan Classic 41, owned by well-known author Kim Hess of Yoga Onboard and musician Eric Stone. Carry on their tradition of living the sailing lifestyle aboard "Rainbow Connection!"

The Morgan Classic 41 was the upgrade to the Out Island model, with a larger u-shaped galley, a fin keel for improved performance (though still integral to the hull), a sit down nav station, and a full separate shower in the aft cabin, making this vessel much more family friendly and comfortable.

This particular vessel chartered with the boy scouts for 16 years, putting smiles on the faces of many groups or youths. She has made the current owners very happy as well, providing a floating home first to Kim and later to Kim and Eric and their two parrots, Harley and Marley. They love this vessel, but with changing lives, two Macaws, and a musician's tour schedule, they have chosen to continue cruising, but on land...moving from the boat to a bus.

Among her many attributes are:

  • 50 HP Yanmar that starts right up and purrs like a kitten--only 1,500 hours, new 2007
  • NEW 2016 MarinAire 16 BTU/h Self Contained Air Conditioner and Heater, 110/120 V/60 HZ, installed March 2016

Cons

Maintenance Requirements: As with any classic sailing yacht, regular maintenance is essential to keep the vessel in top condition, which can be time-consuming and costly.

Older Systems: Depending on the specific boat’s history, some systems (like electronics or plumbing) may be outdated and require upgrades or replacement.

Limited Speed: While the Morgan 41 performs well for cruising, it may not match the speed of more modern designs aimed at racing or performance sailing.

Draft Considerations: With a deeper draft compared to many contemporary models, this boat might not be suitable for shallower waters or certain cruising destinations.
