One of Island Packet's Best Selling Models

Checkout this great deal on this Island Packet 38 !

The Island Packet 38 is arguably the largest boat under 40 feet.  It has so much interior volume that you will think you are on a much larger boat.  In all of my years of selling boats I have not seen another sailboat of this size that has the storage capacity of the IP 38.  I recommend labeling your storage compartments and logging where you put things to save you time in finding them later.  You could cruise for months without stopping for stores.  I also know people who single hand this boat which is a testament to its ease of handling. Yet, it is roomy enough for two couples, 7 friends, or a large family and a pet or two.

Island Packets are well known for safety, sea-keeping, and sturdy construction. Very few boats hold their value as well and as such might be one of the least expensive boats to own.

This particular boat has been nicely outfitted for cruising and this couple has certainly see a lot of beautiful waters and Islands in the years that they have owned her.

Now it’s your turn.

Cons

Moderate Performance: While comfortable and stable, the Island Packet 38 is not a racing boat and may perform slower compared to lighter, more performance-oriented designs.

Heavier Displacement: The solid build and full keel add weight, which can affect speed and maneuverability, especially in light wind conditions.

Older Systems: Being a 1990 model, some onboard systems and equipment may require updating or maintenance to meet modern standards.

Limited Cockpit Space: The cockpit is functional but may feel cramped for larger crews or those used to more spacious, contemporary designs.
