The modern full keel design, provides the benefits of spirited, powerful performance comparable to deeper fin keel designs, with the added advantages of "hands off" tracking and fingertip steering control, and superior sea-keeping and safety.
On deck, the IP27 features a wide bowsprit/anchor platform, raised bulwarks, premium coarse design non-skid, full length cabin top handrails, and double bow and stern rails with double lifelines for secure deck work. The roomy cockpit features contoured seats with deep coaming backrests, a comfortable helmsman's seat. large seat locker and loose gear tray, cockpit ice box, water tight engine access hatch and rack and pinion geared wheel steering for precise feel and utmost reliability. The spacious interior layout provided by the broad beam design affords an exceptional amount of room and livability, allowing for a variety of guest accommodations with privacy and comfort. The forward cabin features a large vee-berth with an overhead hatch and a privacy curtain to the main salon. Storage lockers are provided under the vee-berth. The spacious main salon features a drop leaf teak table that folds against a bulkhead mounted rack leaving an unobstructed teak and holly sole almost 4' wide. The starboard settee pulls out to make a double, and both settees haven additional storage areas under and behind the cushions. The quarter berth area includes a cabinet with the master electrical panel, vhf overhead and deep private sleeping berth.
