The Hunter 49 accelerates quickly under sail. Her powerful, 9/10 fractional, deck-stepped, two-spreader mast stands 63 feet, 4 inches off the water. She has in-mast furling, and an inner forestay rigged with a self-tacking furling staysail. Complemented by an overlapping genoa furling on the headstay, this elegant double headed sail plan provides balance and power.
