The Grand Banks 42 is one of the most successful trawler designs ever produced. A perfect Great Loop boat, Seahorse, has NAIAD stabilizers, bow thruster, newer generator, Sea Frost refrigeration and freezers, Garmin electronics and reliable Caterpillar 3208 power. She was just hauled and painted in May 2026. Seahorse has been maintained to the highest of standards, and her owners have documented all services and additions. Her teak decks are in good shape, and the fuel tanks are in excellent condition. She has been lovingly cared for and it shows!

Cabin Layout
The two state room interior is finished with rich teak woodwork. The master stateroom aft with a king size bed and separate lavatory to port and shower to the starboard side. 
The salon has a L-shaped dinette and lounge, with drop leaf table, to starboard and a settee with freezer to port.
Forward of the settee is a bar with an Icer-ette ice maker. To port forward in the salon is the galley with microwave, refrigerator, stove and oven. To starboard forward is the lower helm station. 
In the bow of the boat is the guest stateroom with a V-berth with a filler and private head. 
Upgrades
The following upgrades have been completed in the last 5 years and are fully documented:
  • 1,000 hour service. Heat exchangers, aftercoolers, transmission cooler removed and cleaned. Generator heat exchanger replaced. Valves adjusted, oil, filters zincs replaced. Raw water pumps rebuilt. July 2025
  • New electronics. Garmin 1643, 943, GMR xHD radome, Airmar B75C transducer. June 2024
  • New exhaust elbows, hoses and clamps. June 2024
  • Icemaker and Raritan hot water heater replaced June 2024
  • All fuel injectors cleaned, inspected and tested. May 2023
  • Zantrax Freedom XC Pro Marine 3000 watt inverter/charger. New April 2022
  • All battery cables replaced February 2022
