The C&C 30 was considered by many to be C&C's best all-round boat. You can race her and win and enjoy her cruising side because she is a big boat. Big enough to sleep 6 and big enough to offer full 6'2" headroom. Her cabins, head and galley accommodations make living on board a comfortable experience. The forward cabin features two 6'4" berths, with shelves and storage beneath. Just aft there's a large hanging locker and a well-equipped head. The main salon there's a large convertible dinette to port which changes to a double 6'6" berth. To starboard there's a large settee with fold up pilot berth. The galley has stove, sink and lots of stowage space. There's a lot of detail that goes into a C&C and the build quality is their trademark along with good looks, excellent sailing qualities and forgiveness. Her rig is a masthead, keel-stepped mast. Her keel is made of lead and her spade rudder is controlled with wheel steering. There's lots of goodness in Sarah Jean and the owner is motivated to sell and move on and so that is why the price tag is so affordable. It's a lot of boat for the buck. The owner has moved into another boat on Lake Superior and has neither the time nor need for two boats. He exclaims that "Sarah Jean is unusually stiff and points well. She loves a good breeze." Fresh water only.

Cons
Age-Related Wear: Being a 1980 model, some boats may exhibit age-related wear such as faded gelcoat, hardware corrosion, or interior wear and tear. Potential buyers should be prepared for some level of restoration or refurbishment.
Limited Standing Headroom: While the interior is spacious for a 30-footer, some sailors may find the standing headroom in certain areas limited, which can be a drawback for taller individuals.
Older Technology: Being from the early 1980s, the C&C 30 may lack modern amenities and electronic systems that newer boats incorporate. Upgrading systems may require additional investment.
Accommodations for Larger Crews: While it can comfortably accommodate a small crew, the C&C 30 is best suited for 2-4 people, which may be a constraint for larger groups looking for a day out on the water.
Reputation for Sensitivity: Some sailors have noted that the C&C 30 can be a bit sensitive to sail trim and weight distribution. Proper trimming and balance are essential for optimal performance, which can be a learning curve for less experienced sailors.
