If you are drawn to the traditional old school cruisers then you should definitely check out Kelmar. Current (second) owners have owned her for 37 years and you can definitely tell that they have pride of ownership. It is very rare to see a vessel of this vintage in this great of shape. They enjoyed cruising her in Mexico (6 months on/6 months off) from 1996 to 2005. With her solar panels and watermaker she could easily leave again today. Her Beta Marine Diesel engine was installed in 2011 and has only 62.2 hours.

The Biggest Pros and Cons
The 1975 Westsail Kendall Flush Deck 32 is a classic cruising sailboat known for its sturdy construction and traditional design. Here are some of the pros and cons of this model:
Pros
Robust Build: Constructed with heavy fiberglass and solid wood trim, the Westsail 32 is renowned for its durability and ability to handle rough seas.
Traditional Aesthetics: The flush deck design offers a clean, uncluttered look with a spacious cockpit and ample deck space.
Seaworthy Design: Known for its full keel and heavy displacement, it provides excellent stability and a comfortable ride in offshore conditions.
Spacious Interior: The layout typically includes comfortable berths, a functional galley, and a roomy saloon, making it suitable for extended cruising.
Strong Community and Support: As a classic, there is an active owner community and availability of parts and knowledge for maintenance and restoration.
Cons
Heavy Displacement: While providing stability, the boat’s weight can make it slower and less responsive compared to lighter modern sailboats.
Limited Maneuverability: The full keel design, although stable, results in a larger turning radius and less agility in tight marinas or crowded anchorages.
Outdated Systems: Being a 1975 model, some onboard systems and equipment may be outdated and require upgrades or maintenance.
Maintenance Intensive: The traditional wood trim and older construction methods may demand more upkeep compared to newer, low-maintenance boats.
Limited Upwind Performance: The sail plan and hull design favor cruising comfort over speed, potentially resulting in less efficient sailing upwind.
Made For
The 1975 Westsail Kendall Flush Deck 32 is ideal for sailors seeking a sturdy, classic cruising sailboat with ample space and traditional design. It is perfect for those who appreciate solid construction and a vessel capable of handling extended offshore voyages, making it well-suited for adventurous cruisers, liveaboards, and anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable boat for coastal or bluewater sailing.
