The Westsail 32 is the most popular 30 plus foot full keel cruising sailboat ever built. Mde here in Costa Mesa starting in the early 70's, many boaters took them offshore. This 1973 Westsail 32' venerable sloop, was beautifully outfitted and made voyages to Hawaii and the Northwest and beyond. She was repowered and has under 600 hurs on a beauful Perkins 4 108 diesel. The boat shines throughout and is ready to fulfill a new owners dreams.

The current seller's 2021 pre-purchase survey found "the general workmanship . . . excellent, with quality materials and equipment used throughout. The vessel is well-equipped for extended use offshore, or for living aboard. The installation of all equipment appeared to be good yacht quality."

In 1997, "the boat was extensively refitted with a new LeFiell mast, boom, Harken Roller Furling, and new sails. A new 51 HP Perkins 4-108 diesel engine was installed, with new fuel tanks ,and electrical upgrades.

"The forward cabin and head / shower area provides a cedar-lined hanging locker, custom quilted marine queen size mattress and formica lined cabinets, woven teak cabinet doors, and upholstered sitting settee. The head area also provides fresh water faucets, staleness steel sink, shower, sump pan, electric Vacu-Flush head, hinged rear overhang 10" x 10" hatch and interior formica laminated bulkheads with salon door for cabin privacy. All galley, head icebox, and shower drains go into a 2-gallon gray water polyethylene tank under the main cabin sole, eliminating multiple seacocks.

"The galley is traditional style with storage of plates, and cups, double stainless steel sink, 12-volt water system, auxiliary foot pump and a 12-volt/110-volt Isotherm refrigerator. There is a stainless steel Force Ten propane two-bunter stover with oven and a saddle bar 'snap-on' for safety at sea. A 6-lb propane tank is mounted in a sealed and overboard vented PVC canister, with deckplate access. A large double insulated icebox with teak lids and three teak drawers provide ample storage. A 40 gallon X two (2), 80-gallon total, thru polyethylene water tank is installed under the main cabin sole, well secured in place. The underwater thru hull fittings are bronze seacocks, installed with backing blocks in the approved manner. Double hose clamps were found on the sea cokes. Some of the seacootcks were tested, and handles were easily moved. A Whale Gusher10 manual bilge pump is installed , with screen strainer on the pickup hose end. A Rule submersible electric bilge pump with float switch is also installed. .
