The 361 was the first Beneteau in her size range to offer a true separate shower, front opening refrigerator and dedicated forward facing nav station. Widely regarded as one of Beneteau's most successful cruising designs, the 361 offers exceptional interior volume, a bright and open layout, and a comfortable 2-cabin, 1-head layout that feels larger than many boats of this size. These features in addition to her spacious interior, attractive styling and excellent performance made for a very popular model. The forward stateroom has a large double berth and has a hanging locker. The aft stateroom is accessed on the starboard side and is a large double berth with plenty of storage as well as a hanging locker.
With low engine hours and straightforward systems, she is an ideal option for cruising couples, young families, or anyone looking for a dependable and easy-to-handle sailboat without breaking the bank. Some notable features of "Kristi" include:

Note:
The two-cabin layout of the Beneteau 361 combines thoughtful design with cruising comfort. The interior features high-quality woodwork and generous (6'4”) headroom. The space features two spacious cabins, a large head, a U-shaped galley, versatile dining and sleeping areas, and ample ventilation.
The forward cabin has a large V-berth (approximately 6′ 7″ x 5′ 4″), surrounded by hull-shelf storage, a starboard hanging locker, and twin reading lights. Ventilation is supplied through two opening ports and a Lewmar hatch above.
The salon features a U-shaped settee to starboard, accompanied by a dining table. The dining table can be lowered to transform the area into an extra berth. On the port side, there's a straight settee. Storage options include under-seat compartments, overhead lockers, and a bar locker situated behind the starboard settee. Large coach roof windows and a deck hatch supply natural light and ventilation.
The C-shaped galley is located on the port side, forward of the companionway. It offers ample counter space, a stainless-steel double sink, a two-burner propane stove, a dedicated microwave shelf, and plenty of refrigerated storage (front-loading fridge and icebox). Louvered door lockers and a cutting board cover for the sink complete the setup. Ventilation is provided via a hatch and a porthole above the stove.
The forward-facing navigation station is next to the galley. It has a seat below, a chart table, an electric panel, and space for instruments.
The head is surprisingly spacious, offering full standing headroom and a separate shower stall with a teak seat and electric sump pump. It contains a toilet, a washbasin with a mixer tap, and a mirror. Ventilation is supplied through an opening port.
The aft owner's cabin spans the boat's beam, housing a full-width double berth (~6′ 7″ x 4′ 9″), a starboard-hanging locker, hull-side shelf, fixed hull port, and an opening port.
The engine is a Yanmar 3GM30F, serial # E24144 with only 499 hours

Pros
Spacious Interior: The Oceanis 361 offers a roomy and well-designed interior layout, typically featuring two or three cabins and a comfortable saloon, making it ideal for extended cruising or family outings.
Good Sailing Performance: With a moderate sail plan and a well-balanced hull, it provides reliable and manageable sailing characteristics suitable for both novice and experienced sailors.

Decent Tank Capacities: Freshwater and fuel tanks are sized appropriately for coastal cruising, supporting longer periods away from marinas.
Cons
Light to Moderate Weather Performance: While suitable for coastal cruising, the Oceanis 361 may not perform as well in heavy offshore conditions compared to more performance-oriented cruisers.
Limited Headroom: Although the interior is spacious, headroom can be somewhat limited for taller individuals, which might affect comfort during extended stays below deck.
Engine Power: The standard engine may be underpowered for challenging conditions or strong currents, so upgrades or careful engine maintenance are advisable.
Older Design Features: As a model from 2000, some aspects of the boat’s design and systems might feel dated compared to newer yachts, potentially requiring upgrades or modernization.
Maintenance: Like many older fiberglass boats, the Oceanis 361 may require ongoing maintenance to address issues like gelcoat wear, rigging, or plumbing over time.
