1974 west Sail Sold Boat in Fernandina Beach, FL US

Kirian was bought in 2006 by my wife and I. We sailed through out the Caribbean on her and lived aboard her in Panama for three years. We moved back to the states two years ago and left the boat in Panama with a friend. The boat is now on Amelia Island after making her return trip last month. The overall condition of the boat when we got it was worse than I was expecting. The guy watching the boat while it was in Panama put tires on the starboard side as bumpers and messed up the gel coat. He didn't keep up with the mold on the outside of the boat or as much as he should have down below. Overall his maintenance was below par. Captain Bill who brought the boat back, cleaned the diesel tanks and treated them replaced the filters, and belts. He rewired the kill switch, the bilge pump and the vhf before bringing the boat back. On the return trip from Panama, Bill blew out the main sail and had the self steering tiller pilot go out on him. He got the sail repaired in Honduras. The self steering tiller pilot either needs replaced or looked at, could be wring issue. He felt after bringing my boat back however, that she is a very solid reliable boat that needs some proper cleaning up and TLC. All of her issues that need awareness and work are painting, sanding, small wood work, resealing some ports, and things of the such...some new sails, stove and sink maintenance as well. Howeve,r the integrity of the boat including, hull, shrouds, turnbuckles, chain plates, mast, bowsprit, electrical, hardware, engine, navigation and wind and solar generator are in good shape. The boat needs some TLC, but she just got back from Panama and she is turn key ready to go to a suitable home for some cleaning, maintenance and upgrading. I have reduced the asking price to $30,000 due to the additional work she needs that I was unaware of when first listing. The boat is available for viewing at Amelia Island Yacht Basin, my good friend Rich is watching the boat and showing it for us, since we are now residing in Colorado.
