Vessel Walkthrough

The West-Bay SonShip 58' Pilothouse is a three (3) Stateroom flybridge motor yacht with wide beam, spacious salon, galley up, walk around side decks and large cockpit aft. (Please see the diagram of the interior layout included in the listing specs following).

Starting aft: The Cockpit is a large area with molded in dive platform aft, stainless steel ladder leading up to the Boat-Deck above, steps leading forward on both sides to the side-decks, access to the Engine Room or, up 3 steps and forward into the Saloon. The Engine-room is "walk-in" and has full standing headroom. The Saloon is nicely furnished and features an entertainment center with TV that rises electrically from within a cabinet. Forward, and up 3 steps from the saloon is the Galley, Dinette, stairs up to the Fly-bridge and Pilothouse. The pilothouse has side doors to port and starboard that lead out to the side-decks. Forward and down from the pilothouse are the 3 Owner/guest staterooms, 2 Heads with showers and Laundry Center. The Command Bridge features a well-instrumented helm station. 2, pedestal mounted chairs & 2 L-shaped settees seating 8. Aft of the settees is the Boat-deck with davit and Tender.

Main Salon
Entering from the cockpit through dual doors that open outward to provide wide-open views aft from the saloon enabling one to "bring the outside in". The Saloon is furnished in upgraded, light beige colored fabrics, off-white carpeting, throw rugs and custom made wooden blinds that match the stained Oak-wood cabinets and paneling. A large, comfortable U-shaped sofa is built in to the port side of the saloon. A brown, wooden chest serves as a coffee table just in front and 2 swiveling occasional chairs are across from the sofa on the port side. Forward of these chairs is the entertainment center which is housed and hidden from view when not in use inside wooden cabinets built of riff-cut white oak with attractive Corian counter tops.

Salon To Bridge
Forward of the entertainment center cabinets and up 3 steps is the interior stairs up to the Command Bridge. These stairs are hand crafted out of oak and gently curved to provide easy access.

Dining Area
Forward of the stairs to the Command Bridge on the starboard side is a Corian topped dinette with L-shaped settee for four (4) and storage for plates and glassware housed within. There is lots of storage for dry goods under the bench seats of the settee.
Galley
Opposite of the dinette to the port side is the Galley. This area was built with all of the storage cabinets offered as options from the shipyard when the yacht was built new at West-Bay. The Corian offsets attractively against the honey colored oak cabinets and the oak faced appliances, under mounted double sinks and upgraded faucets and fixtures produce a classy appearance.

Pilothouse
The PILOTHOUSE and lower helm station is conveniently located just forward of the galley. The stainless steel destroyer wheel and console is built on centerline and a black, leather Stidd helmsman's chair is mounted just aft. The helm console provides easy visibility of engine gauges; trim tab controls, windlass control and navigational electronics.

Master Stateroom
Located forward and down a wide staircase from the pilothouse, the Master's Stateroom is aft. The master's stateroom spans the full width of the beam and is therefore spacious, offering lots of storage space for clothing and an en-suite head with stall shower. Features include a full, walk-around queen berth with upgraded innerspring mattress, mirrored headboard, oak wood nightstands (2) brass reading lamps (2) and upgraded bedspread, throw pillows, shams and blinds. Unrivaled carpentry/cabinetry skills in fit and finish are evident in this area. The wood cabinetry, chests of drawers, cedar-lined closet and hanging locker show off the artisan-like craftsmanship of West-Bay's Pacific NW skilled finish carpenters. Only the highest quality door hinges, locker latches and Baldwin locksets and door handles are ever used in building a West-Bay yacht. An over/under stacked Westinghouse washer and 220V, clothing dryer are housed inside a closet forward in the master's stateroom. This stateroom has a Panasonic television with VCR, Datamarine Link Depthsounder/Knotmeter and individual air-conditioning controls.

VIP Guest Stateroom
The VIP Guest's Stateroom is all the way forward from the Master's stateroom and features a queen-size berth on centerline. This comfortable stateroom has the factory optional, mirrored oak storage cabinets built in overhead on both the port and starboard sides. A chest of drawers and cedar lined hanging locker provides additional clothing storage and storage for guest's suitcases is provided in lockers beneath the berth. They're 2 opening overhead hatches providing bright natural lighting by day or a direct view of the stars at night. Two brass reading lamps are mounted to the mirrored headboard and a Panasonic TV/VCR is installed here.

Second Guest Stateroom
Following aft of the VIP guest's stateroom and on the starboard side is the shared guest's head with Nafco faux wood laminate flooring, sink, vanity mirror and stall shower. The second guest's stateroom is across the companionway to port and features over/under bunk berths with reading lamps, a hanging locker and drawer storage.

Flybridge
Features include the upper helm station with steering wheel, CAT engine instruments, anchor windlass controls, trim tab controls remote searchlight controls, 2 mounted pedestal chairs for the Helmsman and a companion, 2 - L-shaped settees (seat 8) and Bimini Top with 3-sided enclosure.

Cockpit
The cockpit aboard the West-Bay SonShip 58 is large and deep with high bulwarks to keep passengers and children safely onboard. A huge Lazarette is accessed via a hatch in the sole and this is a large hold for storing loads of gear. There is a back-down set of engine and bow thruster controls that swing out from inside a cabinet forward and to the port side of the cockpit. An oversized molded FBG swim/dive platform is integral with the hull and is accessed from the cockpit through a transom door. There is a swim/boarding ladder mounted under this swim grid and a fresh water shower is provided for rinsing off when re-boarding after a swim or dive. A Maytag electric BBQ grill is housed inside a FBG cabinet for grilling those lobsters when they arrive up fresh from the sea. There is a freshwater sink and a freshwater washdown.
