Vessel Walkthrough

From her raked bow to the reverse transom, the 50 Flybridge Yacht is a floating treasure of luxurious and practical amenities. But she is more than just good looks, as she also possesses the mettle to handle the call of a performance cruiser. Her hand-laid, solid fiberglass hull features a deep-Vee running surface and molded spray rails to enhance the ride and her modest weight maximizes the efficiency of her turbo-charged twin diesels in all sea conditions. Wide side decks with molded non skid surfaces and smartly placed grab rails make it easy to move safely about.

The teak cockpit is equipped for fun with a hot/cold shower, an icemaker, stowage lockers and integrated, transom-wide boarding platform with a swim ladder. The platform easily accommodates a dinghy or personal watercraft. When you are ready to relax after an afternoon in water, the richly upholstered lounge seating for four beckons invitingly on the after deck. A wide, molded-fiberglass stairwell with stowage beneath the steps is planked with solid teak for secure footing to the flybridge from the cockpit.

The flybbridge is extremely functional for navigating and entertaining and is divided into three areas. Opposite the helm, a U-shaped settee with a dinette table lets guests dine beneath the blue skies. The space is huge with seating throughout. For those who would rather soak up the rays, the entire after end of the bridge is a large raised sunpad with voluminous stowage below.

A brightly polished, stainless-steel-framed sliding glass door provides egress into the posh salon. The lacquered cherry joinery gleams and the exquisite detailing is bordered with delightful marquetry. Natural light and ventilation breezes through the tinted safety glass side windows, and the cooling comfort of air conditioning also is standard.

A U-shaped settee to starboard faces a convertible sofa on the port side, a nice arrangement for relaxing and entertaining.

The lower helm is to starboard and two steps above the salon. Thanks to the yachts modest running angles, visibility from this helm is exemplary, not just when moving ahead, but also when backing down into a tight slip, even seated. Credit here goes to the large windshield, side windows and the aft bulkhead glass that yields a 360-degree view. Instruments and gauges are installed in a pod directly in front of the helm and are easily read at a glance. Navigation electronics flush-mount neatly in the burl-wood-trimmed dash. Hydraulic steering delivers positive control in all operating conditions. Electronic engine controls respond instantly at the touch of a finger and deliver the acceleration and top-end performance.

One step down from the helm and to port is the U-shaped galley, a model of efficiency whether you are prepping snacks or preparing major meals. The Avonite countertop forms a durable working surface that accents nicely against the cherry joinery. There are plenty of stowage drawers and lockers and a sliding window for natural ventilation. Under-the-counter refrigeration, a three-burner electric cooktop and a microwave/convection oven easily handle any chore. In the companionway adjacent to the galley is a washer and dryer tucked neatly below the steps.

The master suite is amidship with a walk around queen bed and drawer stowage below. There is a vanity with mirror, reading lights. The en suite head features a teak and holly sole, Avonite countertop and a separate stall shower with a molded-fiberglass seat.

The forward guest stateroom has a centerline queen berth. and there is a third stateroom with upper and lower bunks for the kids
