Other Tayana boats for sale in Florida, United States
Celtic Viking is a 1983 Tayana Vancouver 42 center cockpit cutter. She was designed by Robert Harris and built by Ta Yang Yacht Building Co. Ltd. for Tayana in Taiwan. She is a Crealock design double ender design with an encapsulated modified full keel with skeg-hung rudder for a bit better performance without sacrificing the benefits of the traditional full keel.
All of this being said, Celtic Viking is a true deep blue water design made to travel the world. She currently is in a yard on the hard and has been undergoing refit. The owners have decided to sell her because of work and life changes that have limited their time to complete the refit in a timely manner.
Her bottom has been fully sanded in preparation for a fresh barrier coat of Interlux InterProtect 200E followed by Interlux Micron 66 ablative bottom paint. (Purchase of the vessel will include the barrier coat and bottom paint.)
There are additional projects that can be done on the vessel, but she sailed and motored 28.5 hours in late 2020 to her current yard and is seaworthy and operational. Contact the listing broker today for more information before this bluewater vessel is sold and gone!
