Brigadoon is a beautifully appointed cruising boat with a vast array of equipment for cruising comfort. There were 110 of these Tim Jackett (Sparkman & Stephens) designs, with a 5 year run ending in 1989. The Tartan 34-2 is performance-minded with a pedigree of club racing and serious coastal cruising. They are seaworthy, solidly constructed, with a spirited sail plan with practical accommodations. Her appeal transcends across the many desires of the sailing community. She is a double-spreader, keel-stepped masthead sloop. Her fin keel and spade rudder assure responsive sailing characteristics to include excellent pointing and acceleration. She's known for her balanced helm and forgiving motion. Below she's appointed in a cabin with warm teak throughout with an emphasis on quality joinery, useful ergonomics rather than luxury volume. Forward there is the generous double V-berth, two salon settees, an aft port quarter berth aft of the navigation table and a well arranged galley on the starboard side. Brigadoon is equipped to accommodate longer cruises with her many upgrades. The head is private and accessible from any cabin. A table folds onto the bulkhead when not in need. There's generous storage in built-in cabinets & behind settee back rests. More storage are beneath some berths and there are shelves and reading lights. A Hanging closet is across from the head.
