(So much so, that Hylas took over the molds and designs and still builds it at Queen Long Marine in Taiwan as the Hylas 49). The center cockpit design brings great visibility above and big space below, including a center line queen sized bed aft, a big stateroom forward, and big bunkroom for when the kids or grandkids are aboard, plus two heads and a two-sided walk-through galley, all with clearance for your tall passengers and friends. The modified fin keel is strong and steady, but at six feet, still lets you get into places other boats this size might miss, great for gunk holing in the Chesapeake. Or if you want to *go big* and see blue water or long coastal cruises, the cutter rig with big 130% jib, strong inside foresail, and in-mast furling, offer you the sail combinations you'll want to see, with all lines leading to the cockpit. Repowered with the coveted Yanmar 76 HP motor, your engine worries are over, it just goes and goes. The hull, recently refinished, is smooth, fast and solid.
