"L'Aventure" is a very unique, highly customized Sabre 36' FB that has received the very best of care since she was originally commissioned. Having spent the majority of her life on the brackish waters of the Chesapeake Bay, the pride of ownership is immediately evident both from dockside and once aboard. She is undoubtedly the nicest example of the popular Sabre 36' FB available anywhere.

Besides having an Awlgripped flag-blue hull, she has many other custom features not found on any of her sisterships. Most notably are her interior layout and custom (aftermarket) cherry cabinetry in the salon. Although aftermarket, the cabinetry was built by master craftsmen who perfectly matched the quality and fit and finish that Sabre has become known for. Not only is the cabinetry beautiful in appearance, it provides for an amazing amount of storage not found on her sisterships, as well as providing space for the installed second Isotherm refrigerator. (One thing that many yachts of this size are lacking is enough refrigeration!) Entering the salon from the cockpit, to starboard is a beautiful cherry-wood bar top which includes a large sliding door locker (houses plenty of bottles or cans of your favorite beverages), a second storage locker above, a built-in flat-screen TV, an additional AC power outlet, and finally the Isotherm refrigerator. To port is an equally ornate Cherry-wood storage locker (again, not standard) which the current Owners refer to as the "hall closet"- aptly named due to the VAST amount of additional storage that the space provides. These two custom additions alone create very much needed storage to this particular vessel, making her even more desirable for longer extended voyages, such as the "Great Loop" or a season in the Bahamas.

Another custom upgrade is the recent addition of a very beautiful, unique, and highly-varnished Teak and Japanese Ash cockpit table. The current owner designed this masterpiece and had it custom-made by a master craftsman. When not in use, the table easily folds down under the protection of the transom gunnel, and has a blue waterproof canvas cover which further protects it from the elements. (see photos)

The final custom upgrade was the reconfiguaration of the port side of the salon. Originally the standard "L-shape", the setee has been modified for much better use of space. The result is actually two seating areas which can easily convert to a large double berth, a dining area for 4, or a forward facing setee with athwartship seat which converts to a lounge. All conversions feature custom cushions matching the original Ultra-Leather seating, and additional storage is found beneath. Again, there is no other Sabre 36' FB that offers such a diverse and cruising-friendly interior as does "LAventure".
