Very nice Regal 3360 Window Express.

Manifolds and risers were replaced in 2018. Long list of new items in 2021 and in the last year new bilge pumps, power steering ram, hoses, alternator and belts on both engines, Motors were just serviced in May 2021.

One critique some boaters have of express cruisers is the lack of daylight below decks. A few years ago, Regal Marine solved that with a new concept in express cruisers. An example of one of these models is the 2009 Regal 3360 Express.

Overall the 3360 is a stylish express cruiser with contemporary lines, but the foredeck windows and blue hull add a retro touch. At the stern, the boat sports a large swim platform with a hidden telescopic swim ladder and toe-saving recessed cleats. The transom has a dedicated locker for shore connections and a large trunk.

A great feature found on Regal express cruisers is the aft opening engine hatch, which allows direct access from the swim platform for service. This particular 3360 sported twin 320 Volvo 5.7 GXi engines coupled to Duo Prop drives and a 5-kilowatt Kohler generator.

A starboard walkthrough leads into the cockpit where you will find a foldaway transom seat. Passengers will enjoy the L-shaped seating and portside lounge with reversible backrest. There is also great storage in the seat bases. Under the chart holder to port of the companionway, Regal has created a great spot to stow the cockpit table. To starboard is a full refreshment centre with sink and water, refrigerator and storage.Ã?Â

Access forward is excellent. The flat foredeck has an exceptionally large anchor locker and optional Lewmar windlass. While at anchor, guests and crew will enjoy the optional sun pads. The companionway features a convenient sliding screen.

But itââ?¬â?¢s really once youââ?¬â?¢re below deck that you see what these models are all about. The forward window, hatches and starboard window flood the interior with light. You are no longerÃ? living in an express cruiser ââ?¬Å?cave.ââ?¬ï¿½

Fully forward is an angled queen berth with privacy curtain and dressing settee. To starboard is a Leather Crest upholstered settee for relaxing or dining. This also readily converts to an extra berth. The portside galley has ample cabinets, Corian counter, stainless sink with cupboards, an AC/DC fridge and a hidden electric range.

The head includes a Corian counter, sink, shower and VacuFlush toilet.

The open concept midcabin is great for relaxing, especially when equipped with the optional TV.Ã?Â

When comparing used 3360s, remember to look for the optional extras like TV and DVD systems. This boat also has an 800-watt stereo with iPod dock, six-disc changer and cockpit remote, as well as digital 16,000 BTU climate control and central vac.

The comfort and options continue at the well-laid out helm. This model sports a Raymarine C80 plotter with radar and a DSC VHF. The Volvo EVC multi-function instrument displays were well positioned and provide a host of invaluable data about the engines and systems. The EVC instruments are part of a super option, namely Volvo�s Joystick Control System, which is coupled with digital electronic steering, shift and throttles. In joystick mode, the Regal is always under precise control around the docks.

Underway the 3360 was a pleasure to operate. Once you experience digital shift and throttle along with fly-by-wire steering nothing else measures up. With a total of 640 horsepower, the 3360 was quick and responsive. She cruised nicely at 29 mph and 3800 rpm burning 24 gph. Handling was sporty with crisp turns and no surprises. Pushed to the limit, the Volvos maxed out at 45 mph and 5000 rpm.

If you are looking for a used midrange cruiser that is innovative, full of features and offers great performance - with or without Joystick control - the Regal 3360 would be an excellent choice that won�t disappoint.
