FANTASTIC VALUE IN A GO-ANYWHERE BLUEWATER CRUISER

Without question the beautiful Oyster 435 has often been referred to as an icon in yacht building. This very popular model mentioned by Ferenc Matë in his book "The World's Best Sailboats" became Oyster's longest production run due to it's well matched design by the famous design team of Holman & Pye to satisfy the criteria and needs as the ideal solid offshore cruising boat. Her center cockpit provides excellent protection from angry seas and spray; plus the "Maddie Louise" has a ketch rig making her very easy to manage. Also, her 5'shoal draft may be increased by lowering her centerboard to 8'9" for the heaviest of weather in bluewater sailing conditions.

This great combination of long range capability, short handed sailing with an easily managed rig, and her reduced draft capability makes the "Maddie Louise" a perfect shallow water cruiser for navigating warm water areas such as the bays, cays, and islands on the Atlantic seaboard far into the Caribbean yet with Trans-Atlantic capability.

Built under the supervision and specifications of Lloyds, the Oyster 435 is a design that provides ultimate comfort, ease of handling, and safety for cruising sailors. She's extensively cruise equipped with the offshore necessaries such as liferaft, watermaker, solar panels, windvane, autopilot, etc.. Her generous tankage, long range cruising equipment, and deck salon layout will support any sailor's needs for a strong and stable yacht that is easily handled while providing the comfort and long range capability with a relatively modest investment.
