RETREIVER is a 1981 Hinckley Bermuda 40 MK III Sloop. Located in St. Michaels, MD. Professionally maintained, she is used frequently on the Chesapeake Bay, Miles, Choptank, and Tred Avon Rivers on Maryland's Eastern Shore. She has been launched and is ready for another comfortable and traditional year on the water.
RETREIVER boasts the lines that make this boat easily recognizable around the world. She was delivered to her first owner as a Hinckley custom build in Southwest Harbor, ME in May 1981. Her 2nd/current owners bought her in 2018. Her sloop rigged hull opens up the spacious cockpit. With the traveler track located forward of the companionway, none of the running rigging interferes with the space available to captain and crew. The fully battened, 2018 Evolution main sail provides aggressive power while lifting this proven hull on a reach.
