The Nordic 44 is a proven offshore-capable cruiser equally at home on local waters or extended passages. Designed by Robert H. Perry, this timeless hull balances strong sailing performance with comfort and security at sea. Moderate bow and stern overhangs, a powerful sail plan, and a deep fin keel deliver excellent windward ability, while the skeg-hung rudder provides dependable tracking offshore.
The deck tooling is exceptionally well executed, featuring molded dorade boxes, recessed non-skid, integrated genoa tracks, and raised hardware mounting pads. Below, the interior showcases traditional yacht craftsmanship with solid teak joinery throughout and no structural fiberglass liners, contributing to both strength and longevity.
NJORD'S FAVOR is particularly well suited for Pacific Northwest cruising, equipped with Hurricane Zephyr HW hydronic diesel heat (2025), Frigoboat keel-cooled refrigeration, Iversen dodger and bimini (bimini 2021), dinghy davits, heavy-duty windlass with substantial chain, Garmin sailing instruments and Garmin 8612 Chartplotter (2020), and a Raymarine Autopilot.

Accommodations
Accessed via a teak-trimmed companionway over a secure bridge deck, the interior features warm teak joinery, a teak and holly sole, and off-white padded overhead panels secured with removable teak battens for easy access to wiring and deck hardware.
Forward Cabin:
The private forward stateroom features a generous V-berth measuring 6’5” long and nearly 6’ wide. Shelving runs outboard beneath the deck edge, with a three-drawer chest to port and two hanging/storage lockers to starboard. An overhead hatch and opening port provide excellent ventilation.
Forward Head:
Located just aft to port is the forward head. The sink is currently disconnected and the toilet has been removed (and plumbing plugged), as the space has been used primarily for storage by the current owners.
Main Salon:
The spacious salon offers an L-shaped settee to port and a straight settee to starboard, both suitable as sea berths. Storage shelves and bookcases are located outboard of both settees. The teak dining table comfortably seats six and lowers to form an additional berth using a custom cushion. Stainless steel water tanks are located beneath the settees.
Galley:
Aft to port is a large U-shaped galley designed for safe use underway. Equipment includes a Princess “Gourmet II” three-burner propane stove with oven (new 2014) protected by a stainless crash bar, double stainless sinks, and a Frigoboat keel-cooled refrigerator/freezer. Storage is abundant, with cabinetry outboard, lockers beneath the stove and sinks, and four drawers adjacent to the refrigeration unit.
Navigation Station:
Opposite the galley to starboard is a forward-facing navigation station with a large top-opening chart table, a 4” deep chart drawer, and additional storage lockers below.
Aft Stateroom:
Located aft to port, the aft cabin features a large double berth with drawer storage beneath.
Aft Head:
Opposite to starboard, the aft head is ideal for use underway or when returning from the cockpit. It features a stainless steel sink, a large separate shower stall, storage lockers outboard, and an opening port above the toilet.
