This Nautor Swan 651 is a piece of history and is eagerly awaiting to stretch her sails once again. SHOW ME is a fine yacht that has been professionally maintained by the same hands for the past 35 years but the time has come for the family to move on. Lester and Fredrica Fike purchased her as the MACOBI in Marina Del Rey in 1986, renaming it SHOW ME after the motto of their home state of Missouri. They started their retirements heading south into the Baja and entered their first race in the Sea of Cortez, where SHOW ME was featured in Latitude 38 magazine. After sailing the South Pacific, SHOW ME and her sister swan were line judges in the Louis Vuitton Cup" and the "America's Cup" races (1987) in Fremantle, Australia. The thirst for adventure endured, encircling the globe 3 times on board SHOW ME, visiting over 140 countries and participating in a number of historic events such as the transatlantic "America 500" race in 1992 and two "Vic-Maui" races in 2000 and 2002, comfortably and in style, with family, friends, and crew.

Deck Layout and Hull
SHOW ME has the typical deck layout for a boat of her generation. Her teak decks were hand laid and glued down with remarkable life left for years to come. Beginning forward, she has a large forepeak storage locker and three 20# propane bottles. Slightly aft and offset to the starboard side is the anchor windlass locker. Centerline on deck are the electric windlass operation switches, the baby stay and large forward hatch into to the storage below. Flanking the side decks are the dual spinnaker poles, traditional Swan brushed aluminum toe rail and lifelines. The vast deck is divided into the next section at the mast. Here, six self tailing winches and numerous fairleads move halyards aft to the working cockpit. Under the boom vang a square hatch is mounted just forward of the liferaft mounting pad. The large companionway hatch is next aft at the forward end of the working cockpit. Six more winches are here for primary and secondary winches. On the bridge deck just at the aft end of the boom are two coffee grinders to operate the winches and quickly accomplish maneuvers. Aft from there is the traveler, runner winches, main sheet winches and the aft cockpit.
SHOW ME was recently hauled out at CSR boatyard for new Sea Hawk BioCop antifouling bottom paint and Propspeed on the running gear. Her traditional Swan hull form is proven. With her fin keel and skeg hung rudder she is a no nonsense machine.
