This 1979 Magnum was Hull # 1 of the 38 series. It was Magnums show boat for the 1980 Miami Boat Show. TALLY HO has apparently been well taken care of during her 28-year career. In 2004, while in California, a refit was started that included taking the deck off and removing the old engines. When replacing the deck, after gluing and screwing, the inside joint was fiberglassed over giving this hull deck joint almost no chance of coming apart.
Her transom was modified to allow easier access to the water and her engines and drive trains were replaced with new Yanmar 440 hp diesels, coupled to ZF transmissions and utilizing Arnesson surface piercing drives. You now have the legendary indestructible Magnum hull with power plants that easily push her thru rough water when others are backing down. Over $800,000 was spent during her refit. TALLY HO's asking price represents a very real opportunity for someone to own a serious fishing machine that is in top condition at rock bottom pricing.
In July of 2007 the bottom was painted and Arnesson Drives were serviced.
