SALE PENDING. This Packet Cat represents an opportunity to purchase an easily restorable Packet Cat at a reasonable price. After Ian when her rig was damaged while she was on the hard, the owner always planned on getting her back in cruising form. Family issues have brought this vessel to the market virtually AS IS. As the broker my thought is to either use her solely as a Trawler Cat or put her rig back together. She has updated electronics and the standard features of these rock solid cats. Her sails, mast, roller furling boom and head sail furling system appear in operational condition though are not stepped or rigged.
The Packet Cat 35 model represented a breakthrough combination of two popular and respected yacht design traditions-- integrating the renowned form stability of a multihull with the rugged construction and luxurious accommodations of the highly regarded Island Packet line of Bob Johnson designs. Cattywampus has two private double staterooms, both with private head and shower. The spacious salon/main cabin area accommodates the dinette and galley. The dinette easily converts to a double berth.
She did not take on any water during Ian and is dry and does not have any boaty aromas. Her interior is cluttered, contact me for interior pictures.

The sloop sail plan, equipped with both a roller furling, fully-battened mainsail and genoa as standard equipment, keeps the well-balanced rig simple without sacrificing sailing performance. The hull laminate is designed to meet or exceed demanding ABS structural standards and is built in one piece of solid biaxial roving combined with an internal stringer and grid system. This exceptionally strong unit structure has vastly superior impact and puncture resistance compared to thinner skinned, cored construction, or conventional woven roving lay-ups, yet maintains a moderate overall weight and ensures long term structural integrity. The integrally molded keels and skeg-mounted rudders even allow for beaching and drying out, while foam-filled, watertight chambers provide flotation for added offshore security. Deck laminates are also engineered for high strength with reduced weight utilizing Island Packet's exclusive PolyCore system.

Cons
Limited Speed: While the Packet Cat is stable and efficient, it may not be as fast as some performance-oriented catamarans. This can be a consideration for those seeking a high-speed sailing experience.
Draft Considerations: The catamaran’s hull design typically leads to a larger draft, which may restrict access to shallow waters or certain marinas, depending on local conditions.
