Manufacturer's Description:
The Island Packet 370 represents the combined talents of the engineering, design, sales, and marketing staffs at Island Packet, coupled with the constructive and enlightened feedback of our enthusiastic owners and dealers. Marking a notable evolution in the Island Packet family, the 370 offers refined keel shapes and a higher aspect ratio rig for increased performance, new rudder shaft and blade geometry for enhanced control under sail and power, and a watertight anchor locker bulkhead for added security. The accommodations also shine, with the ever-popular island berth both fore and aft, and a separate shower stall in the head.
The Company offers the details of this vessel in good faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the vessel. A buyer should instruct his agents, or his surveyors, to investigate such details as the buyer desires validated. This vessel is offered subject to prior sale, price change, or withdrawal without notice.
The IP 370 includes all the high-quality features that Island Packet is known for. Stepping inside, PELICAN shows in "like-new" condition. The spacious and comfortable interior has all the storage and amenities needed for long-distance cruising and living aboard, including air conditioning.
The forward stateroom features a large island bed on the centerline, with two good-sized closets and extra shelves for clothing and gear. There is a connecting door for direct private access to the head compartment.
The head compartment can also be accessed from the main cabin. The bright and well-ventilated space is complete with a sink/vanity, storage compartments and a separate shower stall with a glass door.
The main cabin of the 370 feels like a much larger yacht thanks to the wide-open layout and Island Packet's clever fold-up teak dining table which really opens up the space when it is not in use. There are long, comfortable settees on both sides with plenty of storage behind and below the seats. The port side can also pull out to make an extra double bunk for guests if needed.
The galley is located on the starboard side, just inside the companionway. The galley features a Force 10 3-burner range with oven, a large stainless-steel sink with new faucet, and double refrigerator/freezer compartments with state-of-the-art digital controllers.
The entry to the aft cabin is across from the galley. The open and comfortable cabin has a navigation desk area adjacent to the main cabin, closet and storage space, and another large double bunk partially tucked under the cockpit.

The Biggest Pros and Cons
The 2008 Island Packet 370 is a well-regarded cruising sailboat known for its solid construction and comfortable accommodations. Here are some of the pros and cons to consider:
Pros
Sturdy Construction: Built with a robust fiberglass hull and a full keel, the Island Packet 370 offers excellent stability and durability, making it ideal for long-distance cruising.
Comfortable Interior: The spacious and well-designed interior provides ample living space with high-quality wood finishes, a large galley, and comfortable sleeping quarters.
Easy Handling: Equipped with a cutter rig and a balanced sail plan, the boat is manageable for short-handed crews and offers good performance in various wind conditions.
Good Tankage: Generous fuel and water tank capacities support extended cruising without frequent stops.
Traditional Aesthetics: Classic lines and a traditional design appeal to sailors who appreciate timeless styling.
Cons
Heavier Displacement: The solid build results in a heavier boat, which may lead to slower speeds compared to lighter, performance-oriented cruisers.
Limited Upwind Performance: The full keel design, while stable, can reduce agility and pointing ability when sailing upwind.
Older Electronics and Systems: Depending on the boat’s maintenance and upgrades, some 2008 models may have outdated electronics or mechanical systems needing modernization.
Price Point: Island Packet boats tend to hold their value, so purchasing one in good condition may come at a premium compared to similar-sized cruisers.
Less Modern Layout: The interior layout, though comfortable, may feel traditional and less open compared to newer designs prioritizing contemporary living spaces.
