The Hunter Passage 42 put the Aft-Cabin, Mid-cockpit Hunters "on the map" when it was introduced in model year 1990. The boat combined upgraded quality, room, airy, functional interiors and deck layouts and good sailing qualities. Hunter continued for the next 25 plus years to make more mid-cockpit boats that dominated this part of the sailing industry. The Passage 42 started that movement offering more roomy cruising sailboats available to our US market.
This particular boat is an estate sale and the former owner spent a good amount of money keeping it current and ready to cruise. It has a Yanmar 80 HP diesel engine with under 100 hours on it. It has an optional genset (6 KW Kohler) that gives 110 Volt AC power at sea. The dinghy is included also. With little effort, this boat will be ready for Catalina, Mexico, and beyond. Lot's of boat for a reasonable price!
The attractive galley includes refrigerator, stove with oven, and microwave. The aft cabin includes ensuite head with shower and bathtub, and a pedestal berth. Includes battened mainsail and furling Genoa.

Dinghy is in average condition for its age, it is stored folded up and was not left in the water like people often do with older dinghys.
