Makou features a spacious and luxurious two-cabin, two-head design. The teak bulkheads and custom furniture are lacquer sprayed for a custom look. All of the counters are fitted with genuine Corian surfaces. The master cabin aft has a queen foam mattress and an ensuite head with separate shower. The forward stateroom has a wide double berth with custom mattress and an ensuite wet head. The Vacuflush toilets and all waste hoses were installed in 2020 and they operate with fresh water.
The salon is spacious, comfortable, and ready for entertaining. The settee dining table collapses for provide additional berth space when needed. Marine Air a/c, opening hatches/ports, and 12 volt fans provide environmental comfort and ventilation. The saloon boasts a flat screen television and IRV marine stereo with Bluetooth and DVD player (new 2022). LED lighting replaced the old incandescent bulbs in 2022. The upholstery is in excellent condition and protected by attractive slip covers.
The galley is equipped for all meal preparation for the crew with notably large Nova Cool refrigeration space (2025), Force 10 three burner propane stovetop with oven, and a microwave oven. The owners installed a 15 gph watermaker in 2021 to increase their independance from marina visits and the six gallon water heater (new 2021) provides ample hot water for galley and onboard shower use. There is an Aquasana water filter system and a saltwater rinse was installed at the double sink in 2025. All cooking utensils, pots/pans, plates, etc. are included with the boat.
The reliable 50hp Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine has been steadfastly maintained by this owner and has 2458 hours of run time. The engine is naturally aspirated (no turbocharger) and is equipped with a Balmar 100 amp alternator.
There is no gas/diesel generator on this boat. Additional power generation is produced by three solar panels totaling 590 watts, which has proved to be ample for the cruising lifestyle aboard Makou.
The dinghy is powered by a 2018 Suzuki 15hp four-stroke outboard motor.
Makou is equipped with one 51 gallon poly diesel fuel tank. There are three poly fresh water tanks for a total capacity of 147 gallons. Each marine toilet has a 23 gallon poly holding tank. Additional fuel and water is stored on deck in plastic jerry jugs.

Boom vang, eight sheet clutches, six Lewmar two-speed self-tailing winches. Harken traveler components mounted on stainless steel arch at cockpit. ICW friendly 61ft. bridge clearance.
Ground tackle: 20kg (44lbs) Mantus primary anchor w/250ft. 5/16 galv. chain; 35lb. Delta backup anchor w/chain & rode; Mantus bridle; Lewmar 12V windlass w/bow and helm station control; raw water washdown.
