This is SUCH a well-cared for, meticulously maintained boat. Look closely at the gelcoat and you'll see there's still plenty of gloss. Examine the eisenglass panels in the dodger and you can't believe they've never been replaced. Go below and look for wear and tear on the floors -- nada. And yet this boat has served her owners well for more than 13 years on regular cruises to the Abacos, the Exumas, and the Florida Keys, where her owners much preferred to anchor out rather than put in at marinas. As sailors who appreciated getting the most out of their boat's design, the owners equipped her with a Doyle mainsail with vertical battens (newly refurbished, by the way), along with a 115 percent genoa. "She has a very well-balanced helm, and is a very comfortable boat with two full cabins, two complete head compartments, the ability to sleep seven if so required, and lots and lots of volume down below -- all complemented by a large cockpit area for entertaining others at anchorage," they report. SUNDANCER has been equipped by her owners with a full array of Raymarine electronics including radar and GPS, a stern arch, Kato davits, a 10-foot Achilles dinghy with 6hp Mercury outboard engine, self-tailing winches, solar panels, wind generator, electric windlass, and dual anchors with 150 feet of chain. She has a 360-degree cockpit enclosure with 80 percent UVB side and rear sun screens, and carries 145 gallons of water, 50 gallons of fuel, and has 17 hatches and ports that open for superb ventilation. And, when ventilation isn't enough (as in Florida or the Chesapeake Bay in July and August), there's also air conditioning, for those times when nothing but a marina will do.
