The Hunter 260 is the best production 26 foot trailerable sailboat built. The maximum trailerable beam gives great interior room and stability, the water ballast gives good stability on the sea and a lighter weight on the road, and the open Hunter interior gives a beautiful room airy interior.
I have sold this boat twice now. The original owner kept it in a garage and it was used slightly. The current owner, who grew up here at the California Yacht Club, cared for iit adding foller furling, and performed the regular maintenance. He has now moved out of state and it is time for her to find a new home.
Trailerabllty decreases cost dramatically. No slip[ fee and much less maintenance. It also opens new horizons. My wife and I trucked our trailerable down to Mexico and left it in the Sea of Cortez for 6 months. Getting there and back at 55 miles per hour made in practical and created an experience that we will never forget.
This boat is ready for the road and the sea; Catalina, Santa Monica Bay, Sea of Cortez, etc. etc. Please give me a call and let's chat about "affordable sailing".
