Big price reduction!
As a cruising boat, Hallberg Rassy is one of the most respected boat builders in Scandinavia. The quality construction is top notch and the boats come with a CE Lloyds Ocean Certification. These boats are very, very strong boats. The Frers designed HR 39, with its graceful overhangs and center cockpit, is a comfortable and swift sailing boat. Frers just knows how to draw pretty boats. Hallberg Rassy built over 200 of this model between 1991 and 2003, and this 2000 represents the best of the 39s available. The 39 with its aft stateroom, is one of the most livable cruisers in the 40' range. The cockpit is protected with the classic HR hard windshield and dodger. This cockpit affords fantastic visibility forward even with a dinghy on the foredeck.
In addition to the 39 being a comfortable boat, she's just a great-balanced, fast performer. A few years ago, a short-handed HR 39 was second in the ARC on corrected time only being beaten by a 45' Outremer racing catamaran. She also beat many larger boats boat for boat including a HR 46.
She is well equipped for a circumnavigation, and comfortable long-term live aboard. She's been set up to go anywhere, anytime. From the wind vane to the windlass, she's been outfitted thoughtfully. She has always been well maintained by knowledgeable owner and it shows by her condition as well as her equipment.
